There are many choices and decisions involved and you will soon find that the simple life is, in fact, a lot more complicated and 'skill intensive' than living in an urban flat and getting your food from the shelves of the supermarket.

You certainly need to know what you are doing and it is not good enough to assume that you can learn, everything as you go along.

Apart from the actual skills there are the psychological and physical adjustments which you have to be prepared for.
