According to reports I have read, many reputable scientists have concerns
about how our meddling (a loaded word I realize) may have unforeseen
downstream effects. Just as over-use of antibiotics has led to more
resistant strains of bacteria. I use endocrine disruption as an example
because concerns have been raised that overuse of pesticides may be the
reason why we have had a big increase in thyroid problems. (Obviously,
something I am concerned about.)
BTW, David, I appreciate your willingness to discuss and defend your point
of view. Such discussion enables me to examine my feelings more closely and
resolve how and why I think the way I do. Thank you.
Diane
