[pf] Helen Nearing

I've always been interested in the lives of Scott
and Helen Nearing. According to a Sounds True
interview tape of Helen Nearing (after the death
of Scott at age 100) both of her parents were
vegetarian and she was raised as one. The main
reason she continued to go out with Scott after
their first data (a drive in the country) was
that he was also a vegetarian. She was very impressed
with that.

Although they played music frequently, I believe one
of the things she always missed was recorded music
which they didn't have.
