December 15 - Are you a Cultural Creative?
The real soul work of our time is creating a new culture for the 21st
century. Fifty million Americans, 26% of the adults in the Unted States, are
already doing this, but no one see it -- yet. Their values: caring for the
planetary ecology, personal growth and spirituality, feminism, holistic health
and social justice are driving this change. Join Paul H. Ray and Sherry Ruth
Anderson, authors of the groundbreaking book The Cultural Creatives, to find out
who the Cultural Creatives are, where they come from and why their appearance is
so helpful at this turning point in history. Paul H. Ray, Ph.D. is executive
vice president of American Lives, Inc., a market research and opinion polling
firm doing research on the lifestyles and values of Americans. Sherry Ruth
Anderson, Ph.D. is author of the best-selling book Feminine Face of God. They
are married to each other and living in Northern California. Friday, December
15, 7:30-9 pm. $8. No preregistration necessary.

December 16 - Cultural Creative Workshop
In today's workshop, we'll move into two levels of what some people are calling
"a movement of movements, a community of communities." First, we'll unfurl the
origin story of the Cultural Creatives by following the elements in the
participants' own path: the personal turning points and the engagement in social
and/or consciousness movements. This process can show, in a most immediate and
grounded way, where Cultural Creatives come from, and how their concerns are
converging now into a great current of change. At a second level, we'll work
with what they long to see and create for the future, including what is already
underway in their lives. These explorations will take place in pairs, triads,
and small circles. Participants will explore their own stories in the context
of this great transformation, and imagine the future they long to see and
create. Saturday, December 16, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm. $30. Preregistration and
full payment are required to reserve a space!
