IMHO, the laws of nature are the laws by which we must live.
For humanity the most basic need is to "belong", to care and be cared for.
that is to love (agape). That even overrides the need for physical
sustainance.
For humans there is no force more powerful that love.
Human love is not powerful enough to overcome the law of gravity and other
laws of nature. So we must also love "the grand and mysterious cosmos" and
Gaia (the Earth and all its living beings).
