For those not on the CNAD e-mail list -- CNAD is looking for actions
people can take to reduce consumption and protect the environment, in
five major categories: Food Consumption, Energy Efficiency, Water
Efficiency, Greener Offices, and Family Recreation.

Dear Friend:
Happy Holidays from the Center for a New American Dream! We hope that
you are having a holiday season packed with more fun, and less stuff.
As members of the Center you are probably well aware that when you
joined we mentioned a new and exciting More Fun, Less Stuff Starter
Kit. Well I have some good news and some even better news. The
starter kit will be available very soon. The even better news is that
we want you to help us put the finishing touches on it!
The starter kit will include actions that people can take in order to
shift their consumption and protect the environment. We would like to
illustrate the steps with examples of people who have made changes to
their lives and homes and reaped the benefits. If you would like to be
a part of this project please describe in about 200 words what you've
done to reduce your impact on the environment. If you have a friend
with a great story to tell, pass this email on.
There are five areas we are particularly interested in:
1) Food Consumption (ex. Buying local and/or organic products,
reduced
meat consumption.)
2) Energy Efficiency- what have you done to make your home more
energy efficient and what are the benefits?
3) Water Efficiency- what have you done? (ex. Use rain barrels, drip
irrigation, xeriscaping)
4) Greener Offices- what has your office done? (ex. Reduce paper
consumption, use environmentally friendly cleaning products,
green
architecture)
5) Family Recreation- how do you have more fun with less stuff?
Please email all submissions with your name and contact information
(address, telephone #) to Erin at newdream5@newdream.org I look forward
to learning
more about what our members are up to.
Yours,
Erin Yost
