David, I'm not sure what your anger is about, I certainly did not read John's 
piece the way you did.  Nan and Kaleopono have been on this list for at least 
a couple of years, and I think deserve more respect than what you have been 
giving of late.  John, whose piece you took such umbrance with, has been with 
this list off and on for a long time as well.

We have disagreements here, strong disagreements at times. But we have found 
ways of disagreeing that do not involve attack.  I would hope that you and 
"Holly R" will find ways to speak your truth in a way that can be heard and 
taken in. In this round, that has not happened.

I still don't understand your problems with John's Babbitt piece, but am only 
interested in hearing them if you can do so in a way that give all of us 
respect and a fuller hearing without putting these good folks down.
