But still, >I will act upon the information you sent. Thank you >for keeping it before us. > · I can believe you're feeling the let-down after the big effort of the campaign. We had something similar here, when it appeared that no-one from The Greens was going to get elected, by less than 100 votes (on the night). Fortunately, all the separately-cast ballots (early-voters, overseas, out-of-electorate, etc.) made the difference, so Jeanette won her geographical electorate, and The Greens won the right to have at least the first 6 on their List elected (they passed the 5% threshold) because such a big fraction of those late-counted votes were cast by Greens. · Don't feel depressed at the "huge amount of work" required. All one person can do is: do what you're able to. A great many readers of this list do far less than you do - with a small farm and a supportive family I think you're doing just fine. · I really feel sorry for those who know they 'should' be doing more and know at least some of the things they want to do, but have a partner or family who are dead-set against "reducing", "living more simply", and "living more lightly on the Earth". That must be /really/ a hard row to how. · Again; just do what you can; keep the flag flying! David. (David MacClement) davd@ihug.co.nz
