· Just to show that I do have another life besides pontificating;

· Our son Peter is living here at home, very frugally (less than $3,000 per
year, supplied by my wife while she still has a job), as is his un-frugal
friend who is paid ~$60 per hour creating computer software - out of a job
last week, a new one next week. The three friends go out together on weekends.

· Anyway, son Peter turned 27 today; my wife gave him a bottle of organic
wine, and he baked his own birthday cake (no candles). He's been making
chocolate cakes for a couple of years now - they're good. This time he
decided to put on some chocolate-flavoured icing to make it special; he
hadn't iced a cake before.

· Bera said: "just mix some icing sugar with softened butter (and the
flavouring), then spread it on".

· So he did, minutes after the cake was finished baking.  ......!
