We all believe something about how the world works.  Some believe that it's
a cold hard mechanical world and might (and money) makes right.  Others
that just saying they believe in God means they are Chosen.  Others that
reverence, serving, creating, giving makes life full of joy.   Others that
serving Jesus earns healing; they know that they can't know and thus enjoy
mystery.  

Dee Hock, founder of Visa, the credit card company, says our quality of
life, environmental, injustice, war troubles are because the might makes
right folks are running things. (p. 238, Dee Hock, The Birth of the
Chaordic Age, 1999)   I believe him, as that's how I was raised.  

Dee says the solution is to change our view of the world and it's hard work
but easier than knashing our teeth and feeling powerless.
